The Way Of Salvation
 
First Step!
 
The Way of Salvation begins with: The Declaration of War! Sound strange? Let me explain!
 
When I arrived in 1998, circumstances in my life compelled me to think about where I had been, what I had done and the direction in which I was headed!
I had tried to do this a few times before when I was younger, however, it seemed I was too foolish to really care.
 
To get a small glimpse of what my life entailed. I recommend listening to my
'If It Wasn't 4 Love' track.
 
Having looked back on my life, I saw that all that remained behind me, kinda looked like what you would see after a tornado or cyclone had just passed through. My life was a mess and anything I did to try and fix it just made things worse!
I could see that I was heading down a very steep, rough and rugged road full of pitfalls, but at the sametime I didn't know how to get off, or where I would go even if I could.
One thing I did know though, was that it was no longer wise to travel down that road.

Scientist's like to call it Entropy. However, God calls it the wages of sin!
And this is where the declaration of war came into it for me. You see! At the same time this self-examination was going on, little did I know, I was being called to walk a different path. And so, circumstances in my life drew me to a local church in order to find a person whom I was told had done something wrong to an good friend of mine.
Also at that time, as part of my quest for the truth and to find a better way, I started reading some books about spirituality and thought I would go along to this particular church's bible study, not only to gather some intell about the wrongs that I thought had been committed, but also to teach those Christians a thing or two about what I had learnt in my readings.
 
Believe me! You don't want to hear the rap verses I used to spit about Christians and other people in those days!
 
To cut a long story short, I met an old primary school friend at the bible study that night. And, at his request, I reluctantly allowed him to destroy the book I was reading and pray for me. After all, I was basically a street thug who claimed to be afraid of no man and thought, well, what do I have to lose anyway!
Plus in that particular moment, it felt like something was gently calling me. Or to put it another way. It seemed as if I was trying to remember something important.
 
At this point, I recommend just for interactive purposes +:-) To have a listen to my track called,

My friend patiently prayed for me that night. And God explained through him, that the direction my life was headed was mainly due to the consequences of wrong choices I had made!
In other words, he revealed to me my sin (ie: The fact that I was not perfect).
You see! Sin is an old archery term that means, to miss the mark (ie: Bulls-eye), which is what I kept on constantly doing with most of my choices. This was mainly due to my flesh and what I had been taught, plus what I had learnt myself over the years.
However, it was my body and they were my choices; and therefore my sin!
Yes! Sin had been passed down to me through my weak fleshly desires (ie: greed, lust, pride, etc...). Plus through my folks and others via wrong teachings.
However, once you reach 10 or 12, the law states that you are old enough to know the difference between right and wrong. And once you reach 18 years of age. You are then personally responsible for your own sins. All of them!
 
If you will, I recommend listening to two tracks now, 'Livin Life' then 'Fighting 4 Freedom'.
 
There's so much I could tell you. However, I trust you already understand that certain Laws need to be kept in order to benefit civilization and maintain peace. These Law's were passed down to Moses by God Himself a little while ago (we call them the "Ten Laws Of Happiness or rather The Ten Commandments"). And, although they have been perverted by self seekers and man pleases. The fundamentals are still the same.
You know! Don't Idolize & worship anything other than God!
Make no graven images to worship (ie: Flags, symbols, badges, etc...)
Don't steal! Don't murder! etc... you can read Exodus 20:1-17
In fact, whatever you hold most dear to your heart is your God. Be it, money, sex, football, family, even your own selfish life!

Ok, Now! This is the time where we Declare War on your sins!
What do you hold highest in your life and upon the Earth?
For God says "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, with all thy mind and with all thy strength". mat 22:37   It is Number One of God's two golden rules.
The second is simular:
Have you ever found yourself treating others in such a way that you would not want to be treated yourself? God says "Love thy neighbor as you Love thyself" mat 22:39
Brothers and Sisters, we are ALL sinners; and have ALL fallen short of his mark set for us!
In fact, because of Adam and Eve's disobedience in The Great Garden, we have all been born into sin! Born Dead!

Second Step!
 
Ok, now we come to the easy part! Only two choices can be made here!
 
First, ask yourself. Do you believe you are a sinner?
Choice 1: If your answer is no, then I apologize, cause there is nothing more I can do for you at this point in time! But remember, time is running out! The Kingdom of God is near! For every man dies eventually and is judged according to his Faith and his deeds thereof.
Choice 2: If your answer is undoubtedly yes, then hear God's voice calling you to
The Way Of Salvation!
I will do the best I can for you, to allow God to speak through me, until you are ready to hear him yourself!

Third Step!
 
John 3:16  For God loved the world so much, that he gave his only Son, so that Anyone who believes in him, shall not perish but have Eternal Life!
 
This next step can only be taken with the most humblest of hearts you can muster.
With all sincerity!
You can take this next step anywhere! However, it helps if you don't have any distractions around.
It doesn't really matter if your sitting, standing, driving your car, or even working out at the gym!
However, I do recommend taking the most humblest of positions you can think of, while delivering this prayer to The Creator of our Universe!
Remember though, it's more about bowing your heart, rather then your knees. Because, you may be hanging off a cliff, or stuck in a cave when you say this prayer. Or Satan may try to use his greatest weapon (casting doubt), by trying to say to you that you didn't pray properly or something like that.
Just remember, it's all about bowing your heart and being truly sincere.
 
Even if you don't understand everything your about to pray. Christ himself suggests that you approach like a little child and just believe!
So if you are willing. Then humble your heart and pray this prayer with me!
 
Heavenly Father, I know that I have sinned against you and because you are truly perfect, my sins separate me from you. I am truly sorry. I now want to turn away from my sinful life and turn to you for forgiveness. Please forgive me, and keep me from sinning. I believe that your Son, Christ Jesus, died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite You and Your Spirit through Christ to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit so that I may know You and be able to follow Your Love & Truth for the rest of my life. In your Most Holy Name, in Christ Jesus name I pray, Amen (so be it!)
 
Congratulations! You have just made the best decision for yourself you could ever possibly make!
The next best decision, will be to persevere in seeking God and his kingdom. No matter what!
James 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you
 
Right!
Now we need to protect that little seed (prayer) until it germinates and becomes and huge tree, in which you will find shade, comfort and protection through any storm you may have to face.
Please, don't be disillusioned. We still need to go through trials and tribulation to test our faith. To purify our hearts and souls as gold is purified.
However, you now have the protection of The Most High!
And, power through salvation in Christ Jesus, to no longer sin!

I also recommend getting yourself a hard copy (paper version) as well! You can never have enough,

A good start, is to find a neighbouring church/meeting place who is willing to give you a hard copy for free! Now here, it can get a little tricky! Cause I don't think it's right for someone to tell you which type of meeting place to go to! Lest you think, I'm from some sort of weird cult or something, trying to trick you into becoming a mind slave or worse! I can assure you, I am not!
However, you may require some guidance in this area to help you avoid some of those who claim to be from God, but are not! Yes, believe it or not, there are some wolves in sheep's clothing out there!
 
Understand now! That this Earth is a battlefield, a giant chess board with God and the Devil playing for the souls of men!
Ladies, please don't think that I'm sexist. When I use the term men, I mean both men and (wo)men +:-)
 
Just find for yourself, what you believe to be a regular everyday church! Remember, your going to seek God and his kingdom, so don't worry so much, about what some people there may look, or act like. Get a regular bible, not some weird "only mine is right type".
Any Gideon bible you might find in a hotel or something like that is ok!
You'll find that there are many different translations of the Bible. Don't worry, they all paint the same picture, just with slightly different strokes!
Personally, I use a translation called The ISV (International Standard Version), rather then a King James Bible, which is also good. But the way The King James is translated is in the old shakespearean style of writing and considering I come from a lower class style of schooling, I find the language a bit to eloquent for me to understand fully, but I am learning!
 
Actually, I have many different translations here at home. So I can cross reference them and get an even clearer picture!
I strongly recommend getting something called an 'Exhaustive Concordance'.
 
An 'Exhaustive Concordance' is just a fancy way of saying bible dictionary. It allows you to word search every single word in the bible quickly and efficiently. Most bible translations have a small one towards the back of it's cover.
eSword offers one for free with the downloadable bible's I mentioned previously. It also has heaps of different translations to download, in order to cross reference. Plus maps and commentaries from some of histories greatest thinkers!
 
Ok, if you have followed those three easy steps. You are now on The Path and therefore on your
Way To Salvation!
